Rani Avanti Bai has the same contribution as Rani Lakshmi Bai in the revolution of 1857, that is why Rani Avanti Bai is compared to Rani Laxmi Bai, but Rani Avanti Bai could not find the place in history that Rani Laxmi Bai did. is mixed. History will always be indebted to these two great heroes.

The marriage of Avanti Bai was fixed with Prince Vikramaditya Singh Lodhi, son of Raja Laxman Singh Lodhi of the princely state of Ramgarh. Raja Laxman Singh was the ruler of Ramgarh from 1817 to 1850. After the death of Raja Laxman Singh in 1850, Prince Vikramaditya took the throne. Vikramaditya was of a heroic nature since childhood and was engaged in worship and religious rituals. Rani Avantibai used to run the state. He had two sons Aman Singh and Sher Singh. Both his sons Aman Singh and Sher Singh were young that the king became deranged and the responsibility of the kingdom fell on the shoulders of Queen Avantibai.

Proceedings of Court of Wards at Ramgarh -

Hearing this news, the British took an action of "Court of Wards" on Ramgarh state and sent Sheikh Mohammed and Mohammad Abdullah to Ramgarh by appointing Sarbrahkar for the administration of the state. Due to which the state of Ramgarh went under the "Court of Wards". Meanwhile, in 1855, suddenly King Vikramaditya died, and the entire responsibility of the state fell on the queen.

Battle of Rani Avanti Bai and Village Khairi (Mandla) -

By this time the entire district had been freed from the British except Mandla town. On 23 November 1857, there was a war between the British and Queen Avanti Bai in village Khairi near Mandla. The queen sent glass bangles along with letters to all the kings and prominent landlords around her to give the message of revolution on her behalf. It was written- "To protect the country, either wear a bangle or wear a bangle and sit in the house, you should give the right address of this paper to Barry." All the patriotic kings and landlords highly appreciated the courage and bravery of the queen and according to her plan raised the flag of rebellion against the British. By holding secret meetings at places, the flame of revolution spread everywhere in the country. In this war, the British Deputy Commissioner of Mandla, Waddington, could not do anything even after exerting full power and left Mandla and fled to Seoni, thus the entire Mandla and Ramgarh became independent.

British attack on Rani Avantibai's fort Ramgarh-

The British were furious with their defeat and wanted to avenge their defeat. The British continued to save their power, the British took control of Ghughari on 15 January 1858, and in the second week of March 1858, with the help of Rewa king, surrounded Ramgarh and attacked Ramgarh. Veerangana Rani Avantibai's army, which was much smaller than the British army, yet courageously faced the British. Sensing the circumstances, the queen left her fort and left for the hills of Deohargarh near Dindori.

Sacrifice Of Rani Avantibai -

The British army reached the hills of Deohargarh, locating Rani Avanti Bai. Here the brave queen Avanti Bai was already sitting on the front. On 20 March 1858, Queen Avanti Bai offered prayers in the temple built near the lake near Shahpur and entered the battlefield. Here there was a fierce battle between the British and the queen. Rani Avanti Bai, seeing herself surrounded by the British, took out her sword, imitating the heroic queen Durgavati and said, "Our Durgavati had taken a vow not to touch Jeetaji Vairi's hands, don't forget it." He made the supreme sacrifice for the country by killing me. Imitating Veerangana Avantibai, her maid also sacrificed herself with a sword, and in the history of India, this heroine Avantibai wrote her name in golden letters. When Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai was on death row, she gave her statement to the British that "I had instigated the people of rural areas to revolt, the subjects are absolutely innocent". In this way, the queen saved thousands of people from the tortures inflicted by the British. After this, the movement was suppressed from this region and Ramgarh also came under the British.

Today it is sad to see the neglect of the martyrdom of the same heroine. It is said that Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi was highly qualified among the leaders of the 1857 freedom struggle. . In fact, Veerangana Avantibai did not get as much respect as she deserved. This reflects the anti-backward mentality of the historians and leaders of the country.

Veerangana Avantibai did not fight for the upliftment of any particular caste, but she had fought for the freedom and rights of her country from the British. Undoubtedly, the personal life of Veerangana Avantibai was as holy, struggling, and spotless, her death (sacrifice) was equally heroic. Was Blessed is the heroine who, by presenting a unique example, sacrificed her life in India's first war of independence of 1857 on 20 March 1858. Such a heroine should be emulated by all the women and men of the country and by taking lessons from them, women should stand with passion in adversity and if needed, self-defense should also take the form of a heroine to protect their self-respect. 161st of such Arya Veerangana on 20th March 2019 Hundreds of salutes and tributes to him on his martyrdom day.
